Shopping in Burgas is fun – maybe because we are all in holiday mode – but maybe because there is plenty of choice and variety. From the pleasantly pedestrianised city centre with its small shops and cafes, to 3 large malls and several large supermarkets and DIY stores – it would be hard to not find what you are looking for or maybe even discover an unexpected bargain. Burgas offers plenty of shopping opportunities and places. Interesting shopping destinations are the two central pedestrian streets – “Alexandrovska” Str. and “Bogoridi” Str.

“ALEXANDROVSKA” STREET: One of the most attractive places for shopping in Burgas is Aleksandrovsk pedestrian street. In this picturesque street you’ll find no big and noisy shopping centers. Here, in historical buildings small specialized shops are housed. There are many lovely gift shops, as well as shops that offer exclusively locally produced goods. Walking along this street will be interesting to frugal travelers, since it’s full of numerous inexpensive shops that offer goods of Chinese and Turkish production. Near the “Trojkata” square is located the nice two-level Shopping Centre “PIRGOS STYLE” (see on Google Maps). There are about 25 shops which are offering high quality fashion brands and other products. On the last floor there is a beauty salon.
Close to “Pirgos Style” center, on the “Troikata” square is situated another shopping centre – “TRIA CITY CENTRE” (see on Google Maps). It is a stylish place on 4 floors with:
- Eating and drinking facilities – Snack bar Tria, Cafe Tria and Restaurant Tria
- Shops for clothes, shoes, sportswear, perfumes and cosmetics, underwear and lingerie, jewelry, children’s goods, etc.
- Tria fitness and spa club.
“BOGORIDI” STREET is perpendicular to “Alexandrovska” Str. and is running from west to east, ending in the Sea garden entrance. It offers also a great variety of different shops, cafes, restaurants, jewelry and souvenirs.

Burgas Plaza has two floors of which dozens of shops for every taste are presented. The place will appreciate fans of LC Waikiki and New Yorker brands. In the mall there are shops of various price categories. For wealthy customers, there are several exclusive designer boutiques, and for those who like practical and inexpensive clothes. One of the main attractive features of the complex is a large food court, where you can perfectly relax after shopping.

In 2012 in Burgas, the opening of a new shopping center Mall Galleria Burgas took place. It immediately gained popularity among local residents and tourists. Within the walls of this shopping complex are stores of the most popular world brands, such as H&M, Benetton, Gtar Raw, ZARA, TerraNova and many more. Here, you can walk looking for new clothes and accessories, choose a new watch and jewelry. Ladies will be able to do a little shopping in cosmetics stores. In the building of the shopping center a popular Lidl supermarket is located.

Eine neue Ära für Reisen in der EU
Seit dem 1. Januar 2025 haben Bulgarien und Rumänien ihre vollständige Mitgliedschaft im Schengen-Raum umgesetzt und damit den Prozess abgeschlossen, der im März 2024 mit der Integration des Luft- und Seeverkehrs begann. Alle Grenzkontrollen an Landübergängen wurden aufgehoben, wodurch Südosteuropa nahtlos mit dem restlichen Schengen-Gebiet verbunden ist.

- ✅ Keine Passkontrollen an allen Grenzen (Luft, See, Land) für Schengen-Bürger
- ✅ Uneingeschränkter Straßenverkehr zwischen Ungarn, Rumänien und Bulgarien
- ✅ Echtzeit-Navigation berücksichtigt Schengen-Routen (z.B. zeigt Google Maps keine Grenzstopps mehr an)

Autofahrer aus Österreich erreichen Sunny Beach jetzt in 14 Stunden (vs. 16+ Stunden vor Schengen). Die antike Stadt Nessebar und das Resort Goldstrand verzeichnen 30 % mehr Buchungen im Januar.
Rumäniens Transsilvanien
Die Burg Bran hat ihre Winteröffnungszeiten für Schengen-Besucher verlängert. Direktzüge verbinden Budapest nun ohne Grenzverzögerungen mit Brașov (Rumänien).
